Skill Building and Empowering the youth

The REATS initiative focuses on improving youth employability in the automotive sector by providing tuition-free technical skill training, soft skill enhancements, and job placement pathways for Diploma and ITI holders.

RE Academy for Technical Skills

RE Academy for Technical Skills (REATS) is a flagship CSR initiative by the Eicher Group Foundation, executed in partnership with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Tamil Nadu, and hosted at the RRASE College of Engineering campus, Chennai. Designed as an industry-focused finishing school, REATS aims to bridge the skill gap between academia and job market demands. The initiative provides free, specialized technical training and direct placement assistance for underprivileged youth in core trade areas, including Engine Assembly, Vehicle Assembly, Industrial Welding, CNC Machine Shop, and Industrial Maintenance. Alongside technical instruction, the program delivers soft skills training and practical exposure to ensure sustainable livelihoods and uplift local communities.

The REATS initiative focuses on improving youth employability in the automotive sector by providing tuition-free technical skill training, soft skill enhancements, and job placement pathways for Diploma and ITI holders. The program connects candidates with employment opportunities in automotive manufacturing hubs through strategic industry partnerships and dedicated recruitment drives.

The project is mandated to train and place 1,500 Diploma and ITI holders in the automobile industry with an 85% placement benchmark. Between April and September 2026, the academy exceeded expectations by training 1,025 candidates across 25 batches and successfully placing 997 youth, achieving a 98.5% placement success rate over a seven-month period. A major share of graduates secured positions across Royal Enfield facilities at Oragadam, Vallam, Thiruvotriyur, and Headquarters. To meet urgent industry demand, REATS deployed high-engagement parallel training schedules, structured orientations, soft skill sessions, and rigorous external technical assessments for industry-recognized certification. A notable placement surge in Q2 (July–September 2026) highlights the impact of this CSR initiative in closing the skill-to-employment gap.
