Case Studies

I am Vino Lavanya, residing in Idigarai, and a mother of two children—my son is in 5th standard and my daughter is in 1st standard. One of my friends in Idigarai informed me that NMCT was conducting free training programs, including a Beautician course. As I have always been interested in makeup, I felt excited and hopeful about this opportunity. The following day, I visited NMCT and enquired about the training. I was happy to join the first batch of the Assistant Beautician Therapist Training. Through the course, I learned many skills such as saree pleating, eyebrow threading, bridal makeup, hair styling, mehendi application, and flower decoration for brides.
The training was very helpful and practical. This experience gave me the confidence and motivation to start my own parlour. With the support of NMCT, I successfully launched Sha Makeover Artist in Idigarai. NMCT also provided me with the training materials for use in my parlour, which was a great support in the initial phase. I am deeply thankful to NMCT and BOSCH for this life-changing opportunity. It has empowered me to become an entrepreneur, and I feel proud to be associated with NMCT.

Case Studies - Annalise Kindo

Name: Annalise Kindo Age: 20 Husband’s Name: Parameshwar Munda Occupation: Daily Wage Laborers (Coolie Work) Primary Health Centre: Valparai PHC Purpose of Visit: Delivery Outcome: Normal Delivery
Annalise Kindo, a 20-year-old expectant mother from a tribal community in Valparai, visited the Valparai Primary Health Centre (PHC) for her delivery. She and her husband, Parameshwar Munda, both work as daily wage labourers and have limited access to private healthcare services. Due to the upgraded facilities under the Project Aarogya Phase 1 initiative, they chose to access delivery services at their nearest government PHC.
As part of this project, the birth waiting room at Valparai PHC was renovated to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for expecting mothers. The improved infrastructure and supportive healthcare team played a significant role in ensuring a smooth and safe delivery experience.
Annalise underwent a normal delivery at the renovated PHC. She expressed her comfort and satisfaction with the upgraded facility. The medical team also reported a smoother workflow and better service delivery due to the improved layout and amenities provided through the renovation.
This case highlights the direct impact of infrastructure improvement on maternal health outcomes. With better facilities in place, more women from remote and underserved communities like Valparai are likely to seek institutional deliveries, reducing maternal and neonatal risks and promoting overall community health.
